FMCSA ELDT CDL Training | ELDT completion records

If I finished theory online, what is still left?

Match your class or endorsement to the applicable curriculum. Where behind-the-wheel training applies, a provider must cover range and public-road work and document proficiency. Ask each provider about its completion record before the skills test. This is an independent guide.

Separate your ELDT record from your test-truck reservation

For an applicable Class A or B path, online theory and in-person range and road activity have different purposes. Match the curriculum to your license goal and confirm the provider’s completion record. Vehicle rental covers the truck or bus reserved for the test. Ask separately about eligibility for the complimentary behind-the-wheel activity.

Which Texas office should I visit?

Start with the licensing agency for the permit or endorsement. A general driver license office may have a different address from your assigned skills-test site. Use the exact location on your appointment when requesting a test truck.
